Thank you
Our speaker gave us some phrases to use to help you get started with your thank you here are a few examples
PHRASES THAT SAY THANK YOU;
Thank you so much
Am/are so grateful
Particularly grateful for
Thank you for remembering
Thanks a million
Special thanks to
Can't thank you enough
Many thanks
Deeply, truly, really appreciate
Both send our thanks
I have read on several message boards that people love to make a card but does not know what to put on the inside. What is the use of a beautiful that you spend all the time making if you don't share it with someone. Think about this....when you receive a beautiful handmade card do you look at the outside and think wow that person made this wonderful card for me......no you always open the inside to see what the person has written. I have received many beautiful cards over the years, but the ones I save are those that someone has written somethings that has touched me on the inside of the card.
Remember the golden rule. Treat others the way you would want to be treated.
When someone takes the time to think, shop, purchase, wrap, and send a gift isn't it worth the 2 minutes it take to write and send a word of thanks.
Hey, thanks for stopping by I really appreciate all of you who stop buy and read my blog.
I am still working on the tribute for my mom I hope to start decorating the board for it next week I can't wait to show you.

Ponderings of a Rock Star
This paper is from the Rock Star collection. I am sure I bought it on clearance at Michaels. I spruced it up and used my favorite pens the Sakura Glaze. The pens give an embossed look with out the mess of embossing powder or the use of a heat gun. They come in 10 colors from black to white with ever color in between. The think bubbles are made out of vellum and it was great to use so many of my sticker, because with using my cricut so much I just don't use as many stickers anymore.

Ressurection Rolls
Pre Heat Oven to 350 degrees
Ingredients:
Crescent rolls
Melted butter
Large marshmallows
CinnamonSugar
Give each child a triangle of crescent rolls. The crescent roll represents the cloth that Jesus was wrapped in.
Read Matthew 27:57-611.
Give each child a marshmallow. This represents Jesus.
2. Have him/her dip the marshmallow in melted butter. This represents the oils of embalming.
3. Now dip the buttered marshmallow in the cinnamon and sugar which represents the spices used to anoint the body.
4. Then wrap up the coated marshmallow tightly in the crescent roll (not like a typical crescent roll up, but bring the sides up and seal the marshmallow inside.) This represents the wrapping of Jesus' body after death.
5. Place in a 350 degree oven for 10-12 minutes. (The oven represents the tomb - pretend like it was three days!)
6. Let the rolls cool slightly. The children can open their rolls (cloth) and discover that Jesus is no longer there, HE IS RISEN!!!! (The marshmallow melts and the crescent roll is puffed up, but empty.)
Now read Matthew 28:5-8
Explain: At the tomb, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary saw an angel, who told them not to be afraid. No one had taken Jesus' body, but He Had risen from the dead! The angel told the women to go and tell the disciples what they had seen, that Jesus had risen from the dead. They were so excited, they ran all the way home to tell the disciples the good news! He is risen from the dead! Alleluia!
After that Jesus appeared in person to Peter, then to the 12 disciples and after that, to more than 500 people. Jesus' appearance to eyewitnesses, those who saw Him with their own eyes, would give support and prove that Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:3-6).By rising from the dead, Jesus proved once and for all that He was the Messiah, the Savior of the World, the Chosen One, and the Lamb of God.
By dying on the cross and rising from the dead, Jesus did what no other had ever done before. As both God and man, He overcame sin, death, and hell. And now because of what Jesus has done, these things no longer have any power over those who believe in Jesus and allow His Spirit to lead and direct them. Rather than being slaves to sin and death, Christians ( those who love and believe in Jesus) are free to obey God and do good ( Romans 6:17-18). The Bible says in John 8:36, "If therefore the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.
"However, we will only obey God if we listen to the Holy Spirit our helper. He enables believers in Jesus to do the right thing. It is important that we read the Bible (God's Word) because one of the ways the Holy Spirit helps us obey God is by reminding us of what He says to us in His Word. God's Spirit will never go against his Word. In fact, when we read God's Word, we are listening to the Holy Spirit. Of course, you won't always do the right thing; the Bible says this ) 1 John 1:5-10). But that is why we need to continue to confess our sins knowing that God forgives us, based on what Jesus did on the cross. This is also a reason we need to spend time with other believers in Christ so they can encourage us in our faith.
May you have a blessed and meaningful Easter!

Dolly Parton Hearts
Okay, so you can see by my drawing that to make the perfect heart you need three shapes, 2 circles and a "V". I made this with paint and a paint brush but, you can make this heart just as easily with glue, a pen, or marker, once you know the basics you can always make the perfect heart.
Press your paint onto your surface you will end up with a circle. If you are using something fluid such as paint or glue you will need to repeat the dip again so that you will have the same size for the second circle. Now can you see why my teacher called it a "Dolly Parton Heart"?
With my paint brush I do not need any more paint all I am doing is dragging the paint to make a "V" and connecting to two hearts.

Welcome to the World Baby Girl!
A baby chick! I needed a new baby card for a mom that I mentor and I seen this chick on the creative memories web site. It was easy, easy, easy, they used white for the egg but since my new mom had a little girl I wanted to make it a little more personal. How did I do this? Well......
1. Fold the orange triangle in half a glue to the upper part of the cirle and use a black marker to make the eyes above the beak.
2. Cut the floral circle with random cuts (I drew the shape I wanted on the back)
3. Glue egg to chick, then glue the stars to the back of egg/chick making sure 3 of the points of the stars are showing.
4. Cut the smallest circle in half and glue to back of egg/chick
5. Enjoy your new creation
Here is the card I made.
I want to thank Fannie Flagg for the title of the card. She wrote a book some years back with that title. If you are a reader this book is a must she is a wonderful writer and this book is no exception."Welcome to the World Baby Girl" is on my top 10 list of most loved books. You may remember a another book she wrote "Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe"
One question you may ask me is........
"Carrie, what glue did you use to put down the wording on the front of the card." (The wording is less than 1" tall)
Well, I use a Quickie Glue Pen by Saukra. I love this pen because you can put a pinpoint dot of glue on your projects. I always have one on hand.
I can share the cut file with you if you want but really it is just circles, stars and triangles but as always just ask and I will be happy to provide it for you .
The 30 day count down to my oldest son's high school graduation has begun so I am going to be busy preparing for that celebration. Now I know why you celebrate the high school graduations so much it isn't for the graduate it is for the PARENTS we need to celebration that we lived through it all.
