Red White and Blue CUPCAKES!

I usually don't get into much holiday decorations (what you put out you eventually have to put away) but I was blog surfing and came across a blog called TIDY MOM, she had made these adorable red, white and blue cupcakes. Since we are going to visit our family this 4th I thought it might be nice to bring this treat and they are super easy to make.

Here is my version

 Use a regularly white cake mix and divide into 3rd and color one red and one blue (I used the Wilton gel food coloring)

I really can't do anything without making a mess!

All cleaned up and ready to bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes

All baked and cooled ready to be iced.

Michael's had these really cute Red and Blue Pinwheels with toothpicks attached to put on cupcake they make the cupcakes so festive and they were on clearance for 99 cents.
