Last week I heard a woman speak on the proper etiquette of writing a thank you note. Technology as it is, this is becoming something that is sometimes overlooked in today busy society and just because it may be faster to send a thank you buy email doesn't mean we should. A handwritten note tells someone that they are special, that you have taken the time to acknowledge them whether it is a thank you, sympathy or just thinking of you.
Our speaker gave us some phrases to use to help you get started with your thank you here are a few examples
PHRASES THAT SAY THANK YOU;
Thank you so much
Am/are so grateful
Particularly grateful for
Thank you for remembering
Thanks a million
Special thanks to
Can't thank you enough
Many thanks
Deeply, truly, really appreciate
Both send our thanks
I have read on several message boards that people love to make a card but does not know what to put on the inside. What is the use of a beautiful that you spend all the time making if you don't share it with someone. Think about this....when you receive a beautiful handmade card do you look at the outside and think wow that person made this wonderful card for me......no you always open the inside to see what the person has written. I have received many beautiful cards over the years, but the ones I save are those that someone has written somethings that has touched me on the inside of the card.
Remember the golden rule. Treat others the way you would want to be treated.
When someone takes the time to think, shop, purchase, wrap, and send a gift isn't it worth the 2 minutes it take to write and send a word of thanks.
Hey, thanks for stopping by I really appreciate all of you who stop buy and read my blog.
I am still working on the tribute for my mom I hope to start decorating the board for it next week I can't wait to show you.
