Brillant Idea for the Cricut (wish I would of thought of it, but glad somebody did)

I was watching a video on Holiday with the Cricut and while I was watching I was noticing something on Joy's cricut. What was that on the hood of her Cricut, I stopped listening to what is was teaching me and focused on that piece of paper. What was that a chart? Oh my I need that chart. Where did she get it? So after some investigation I found it on her Blog Obessed with Scrapbooking. She has done all the guess work for you and has made a chart for all of the paper that you use on your Cricut and what settings you need. Brillant! If you haven't visited Joy's blog go, go right now HERE and download the setting table. It works, it really does. Thank you Joy for removing so much frustration.

I did shrink the graph a bit because, I put it on a piece of 4x5 post it note, then I didn't have to permently affix it to my Cricut.

Wedding Card

This is the card I made to go with the Wedding Guest Book Gift. I used a file that was made by Capadia, click Here to go link that will give you the file. I will be making alot of purple cards right now since I have so many scraps left over from this project, but that okay because I love purple. You can see that I use the same concept as the white monocromatic card. I used three different cuttlebug embossing folders, (I am totally addicted to them) I hope this inspires you.

Wedding Guest Book

A very dear friend is getting today and I wanted to make something special for her she is 37 and has found true love after all these years. She is having a very small family-only wedding with a reception in April, after they return from their honeymoon cruise. There will be lots of well wishers at the reception so I thought a personalized guest book with their wedding pictures in it would be great, so then people could see the wedding pictures and write some sentiments to them.
I took lots of pictures of the book so here goes....................................
This is the front of the book I used silver contact paper and Storybook for the lettering.
This is the first page
Second Page
Third Page
Fourth page the border is from Storybook it is my favorite flourish
I embossed each one
Fifth Page I used my Martha Stewart punch in the corner
Sixth page I loved the purple flower I found
I used tule under the flower for an extra fluff
Seventh Page
Sometime it is the little touches that make it special like this ribbon.
close up of the ribbon
Eighth Page I used the tule again in the corner
This is the last page!
So here is a close up of the squares that were punched out with a Creative Memories Punch
Okay this is the very last page.
This album is THICK with embellisments.
Hope is enspires you to create something similiar you will defintely get Oooooo's and Ahhh's at the shower.

Each One Teach One......Scrapbooking that is.

I had a request from our ministers wife if I would spend some time with her daughter and do some scrapbooking with her...of course I jumped at the chance. Morgan had a few pictures and an album and her mother said she loved to do craft project so I was thrilled to be able to have her come over and share some scrapbooking time with me, as her mom and I talked Friday night, she asked how long she should have Morgan come over for I told her from 11 a.m. and pick her around 3 p.m. Leigh Ann thought that was way too long and maybe Morgan would want to do it for only a couple of hours. I agreed and said we would wing it and when she got tired of doing it I would call her and she could pick her up.

I was so excited Saturday morning I had everything prepared for her when she arrived. I had everthing a scapbooker needs to work hard on her album, glue, scissors, paper, chocolate! We arranged her pictures in the order she wanted them placed in her album and got to work.
Here was her first page. I guided her on the first page but the placement was all her.
This page was all Morgan she did a fabulous job with the design and picking the color for the paper. She told me what design she wanted and I designed it for on the cricut and cut it out for her.
If you would like Morgan Peace Signyou may email me and, Morgan gave me permission to share it with her fellow scrapbooker. It is made from the George Cartridge and is 8" in diameter. This was her favorite page that she did.

Here we are taking a cookie break.
After 5 hours and 10 Pages I finally told her I was tired (I think she would of gone longer but it was getting to be supper time) We had such fun together and we plan to meet once a month so she can keep up with her pictures. I was honored to help Morgan and proud of the hard work she put into her album. I hope that Morgan and I can show you many more pages that she will be doing in the future.

Udaman Valentine

HEY BOB, UDAMAN!
I become a bear during the winter and hibernate in my home. It really takes alot for me to leave the house. Since I have been home I have really been surfing the internet for new ideas and found this great blog of Jeanne Winters called Inspiring Ideas. She created this chocolate wrapper called UDAMAN, I thought this was so hilarious and immediately downloaded the wrapper to make one for all of DAMEN in my life. I am sending one off to the college boy today along with a zombie movie (that is how much I love him).

The small group that my husband and I belong to at our church is doing a video series on love and respect. Women need love and Men need respect. The speaker said that there were never any valentine cards that women could give to their husband that said that we respect them so, one of my friends had  "Respect" valentine cards made for all the ladies to give to their husband so in turn I made an extra choclate bar to give to Susan to give to her husband.
Just click on the title to visit Jeanne's blog.......PLEASE leave her a thank you if you download her wrapper.
