Mr. TV

TV is a big thing in our house especially since Christmas when we bought our new HDTV. I created Mr. TV as a request for a card for a man who liked TV. I thought I would share him with you.
I used shiny black paper and some prism sticker paper that I had (I believe it is crayola brand) I made 2 and used each color on each one. Now I have to create a page.

If you down load the file please note that I superimposed the cutout square over the solid square, if you want it to look like this cut ......but if you would like to cut the black and prism image all you need to do is click on the square and nudge the square over to the right and you will have 2 images to cut then. Good luck and enjoy

I Made a Card(s)

I am not usually drawn to making card for I am a scrapbooking girl, but I had 3 friends do me a big favor by talking at a MOPS (Mother's of Preschooler) meeting where I am one of the mentors to the Mom's in the group soooo....I wanted to make them a nice thank you card and when I was looking a Paper Crafts Magazine and saw this card and I fell in love with it. This card was my inpiration and I found it on Paper Crafts Magazine website. Here my interpretation of the above card. I used purple because with scrapbooking two boys and a husband there isn't much use for the girly colors and purple is my favorite color. I used vellum for the circle under the butterfly and added an extra circle in the card color. I used Circut Design Studio to weld 1" circle together (easy, easy) and used the graduated colors I had in purple. The butterfly is from Home Accents. I added a print in there for some excitement.

I wanted to added one more picture just to show what a mess I make when creatingThis was made just making 3 little cards can you imagine what it looks like when I scrapbook for 5 day. I usually spend more time looking for stuff then making stuff by the end of the week. I always start out organized by some how everthing goes to pot. I don't know how it happens but it always does.

Cricut Warranty

A question was posed as to re sticking the mats would void the warranty on your cricut machine. After reading the warranty on the web site the only thing I found was this on the first page line item two
This Warranty does not cover
2.Cutting mats, whether supplied with the Machine or sold separately from the Machine.

it further states in item four the Warranty does not cover
4.Failure by a products for which PROVO craft is not responsible.

So in my opinion re sticking the mat does not void the warranty as long as you don't spray the adhesive over the whole mat and cause the rollers to become sticky. There is not a life time warranty on this machine it is only a 1 year warranty on the electronic parts, motor and wiring, switches, speed control, LCD screen and a 90 warranty on all other non electronic parts. This is from the original day of purchase not when you started using it.
If you would like to read the warranty on the cricut machine here is the link. so you can come to your own conclusion

I had a request for a fleur de lis I used my keywords in Cricut and found one in Accent Essential but alas I do not have that cartridge so I used my tried and true secret of copying the and creating one using George. If you look at all the shapes I used it looks like a real mess but it cut out perfectly. I used some stamps with StazOn ink and stamped it up.

Will's day in DC

This was a fun page to create this page. It is really just a potpourri of shapes and different kinds of papers. It is great way to use up some of you scrap pieces that just hang around and take up space.

I LOVE SWIRLS

I am a girly girl and I love the swirls and curls. With having just boys to scrapbook when ever I can incorporate pink into to my scrapbooking page I do it with gusto. These pictures are when we were in France and visiting Marie Antoinette Petite Trianon. You can't really see by the picture but I even used some of Martha Stewart glitter on the page.

You Can Do It Too

When I was making this Rainy Day Page I needed a lighting bolt and clouds so I went to the Keyword in my Design Studio and put in rain and I saw a lighting bolt and clouds in the Winnie the Pooh Cartridge. Well, I don't have that cartridge, well I had an idea. I clicked on the lighting bolt and used my George cartridge to copy the shape and I did the same thing with the clouds too. It was easy to do and I challenge you to do it too. here is the file to share.

This is my first file to share with the help of the girlfromoz and her website http://myfaqcricutds.blogspot.com/

If you cannot download let me know and I will try to fix it.

Here is the page that was the result of my bright idea.

I'm back

I had a very productive time scrapbooking for 5 yes 5 days. I did almost 30 pages and accomplished 2 of 3 goals I had made for myself. I finished my Paris album (it's been almost a year since I went) I finished our spring break trip to Washington DC last year too and I started working on catching up with my sons album.

This is a simple layout but it took the whole movie of Momma Mia to complete! When the cricut cut the letters I think my blade was on it's way out and I had to punch each letter out then figure out how to get them all around the pages without doing any math. I feel this page is important to our family since all our family lives in Springfield, Illinois aka the Land of Lincoln.

You can't take a bad pictures at the Lincoln Memorial and so they really need to be profiled in your albums.
Keep coming back I have more pictures and ideas to post. I hope you enjoy and are getting ideas for your own albums
