My dad is a wonderful painter and every year he has many request to paint Christmas ornaments this year was one of the ornaments he painted. He usually paints on clear glass bulbs but I really like this gold ornament. At my parents church the ladies have a ornament exchange and his ornament is the one the ladies always fight over they call it the "Marlow". I believe strategies are made every year to see how they can win the coveted "Marlow". Hey, but wait I didn't even get one this year.

More Christmas present

With the obsessive personality that I have once I start doing something I have a hard time stopping so I made two more plates for my husbands brother and sister. I thought these turned out just as well. the only thing I would do different is I would not weld the names together. I think it is easier to space things when you have the letters in a name, separate. Oh well live and learn. The only bad thing is I have run out of people to makes these gifts for, because I am really not done obsessing.

I made a little something for my niece. I found these little containers at the dollars store and used one of the striped wall pops to embellish. Simple but cute. I also made one for my son's girlfriend, she is in college and I thought it would come in handy in her dorm room

Christmas Present for the In-Laws

This is a Christmas present for the in-laws. I think is turned out pretty good. I got the plate at Michael's it was $5.99 with a sale at 50% off. I used the cricut cart Calligraphy for the names and Joys of the Season for the corner decorations. There are are 20 first names on the plate. I originally made the words 2" but I couldn't get the names to fit so I went back to the DS and just push them together more so the height is the same. The center name is 4" x 6" and the flourish are 2". I went crazy at L and bought all the black Wall Pops they had. It was really fun designing it I hope my in-law get as much enjoyment out of it as I had making it.

Paris, France that is

In March of 2008 I got to meet my husband in Paris for 3 days. He was working there for 2 weeks and I met him there for the weekend. This is the first page of my album. We were only there for 3 days put we took over 300 pictures. It was hard to narrow down all those pictures for my album it is still a work in progress.

Here I am Blogging-World

okay, here I am world of blogging. The reason I started a blog is ........well I have been looking at many other people's blogs for a while and downloading all their wonderful ideas. I feel guilty not sharing any of mine so here goes. It will take me a while to get into the computer suaveness of downloading, sharing and blogging but I am willing to give it a try.
